Thanks to Steve Kendrick for answering our survey! We asked him about his favorite place to go in Athens, his favorite college tradition, and where life since UGA has taken him. Here’s what he had to say:
Where was your favorite place to go in Athens, why was this place so special to you?
Outside of the actual KA House, it was “The Rail”. Almost directly across the street, cold beer by the pitcher(s), and a whole bunch of “BS’ing”.
What was your favorite event, tradition, or activity to partake in during your college years? Why was it so important to you? Do you still engage with that event, tradition, or activity?
Convivium, Old South weekend, Wednesday night sorority night (for that matter any sorority night), KA House before and after any home football game, summer weekend pledge recruitment .
As an alum, what do you see as the most valuable part of your KA experience?
Being a part of such a diverse group. Sharing space, time, conversation, ideals, tradition, sadness and happiness, the meaning of brotherhood, lifelong memories, and most of all friends.
