We recently caught up with our very own Steve Kendrick and had the chance to ask him about his KA experience, and where life since UGA has taken him. Here’s what he had to say:
Where has life taken you since you graduated? Give us a brief recap up to this point including career and family highlights.
I have spent 40+ years in the Automotive Retail Industry and will be retiring on March 31, 2022. Currently (last 16 years) Executive Manager of INFINITI of Gwinnett and Subaru of Gwinnett. I have been married 36+ years to Yvonne, have 2 daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 5 grand-kiddos.
What are the most important lessons you learned because of Kappa Alpha Order?
What it took and still takes to navigate with different “personalities”.
When you look back on your time in Kappa Alpha Order, what moments do you tend to remember most?
Wednesday night Sorority Socials, Saturday afternoon/evening jam sessions on home football day(s), Old South weekend, and every Monday through Friday nightly supper made by Ms. Julia with my brothers.
Anything else you’d like to add?
At a very difficult time in my life, KA Brotherhood gave me “stability”. Brotherhood taught me how to fully enjoy the experience with others in all type eco/socio situations, something that is still true today. One word sums it up “Respect”.
